Variety And Difference Of Castable

Because of the continuous renewal of material and variety, the quality of the castable is greatly improved. The preparation technology, construction technology and equipment have been greatly improved. The application scope of the castable has been expanded continuously. The application field has developed from low temperature, medium temperature and thermal equipment to the high temperature melting furnace, from which only the lining of the atmosphere furnace can be constructed. The development of kiln lining in contact with high temperature melts.

However, during the use of the castable in the high temperature kiln, there are many problems such as large area peeling and so on, and the life of the castable is greatly reduced by the light. The weight of the castable will lead to the damage of the kiln and the bad effect, and how to improve the anti peeling performance of the castable has become a difficult problem to be solved by the producer.

The causes of castable spalling can be divided into the following:

1. The thermal expansion coefficient of castable is large

Because of the improper selection of the castable and the reaction of the castable during the use of castable, the volume of the castable in the cold and hot cycle is too large and flake off the block.

2. The corrosion resistance of castable is poor

Because of the poor corrosion resistance of the castable, the corrosion of the medium leads to the formation of the metamorphic layer. With the falling of the metamorphic layer, the material is further eroded by the medium, resulting in the peeling of the castable.

3, improper construction or baking

If the construction or baking is improper, it is easy to cause the casting material to shrink or expand too fast, resulting in cracks or bursts, which will lead to castable spalling during operation.

In view of the above reasons, the following methods can be adopted to avoid the spalling phenomenon of castables due to materials, construction or bake.

1, according to the actual conditions, there are specific selection

There are thousands of raw materials for the raw materials, and the volume stability of each raw material is very different, especially in the cold and hot cycle. It can be selected according to the volume stability of each material. One of the selection principles is that the ability to resist exfoliation with the smallest volume change in the cold and hot cycle is the best.

2, improve the corrosion resistance of castable

The process of medium erosion castable is complex, which can improve the corrosion resistance of castables in two ways.

1) reduce the porosity and average pore diameter of castables.

2) select suitable raw materials according to media characteristics and material properties.

3. Improve the crack resistance and bursting ability of castable

There are many reasons for the cracking and bursting of the castable in the process of construction, baking and use. The crack resistance and bursting ability of the castable can be improved by the following aspects:

1) reducing the thermal expansion coefficient of castable

2) reducing the permanent line change rate of castable

3) make reasonable baking curve according to the properties of castables.

4) adding explosion-proof agent to the preparation of castable
